On the 1st of June 2022, Special Surf 78 with the support of the Star inn Peniche hotel, in celebration of the "World Children's Day", organized an adapted / inclusive surfing event for all groups of schools in the municipality of Peniche, and also for the Henriques Nogueira group of schools and for the Ericeira group of schools.
It was with great satisfaction to be able to count on the presence of about 77 children and young people and about 20 teachers, education assistants and volunteers, and in this way provide this day of experiences and sensations linked to the sea, the waves and the beach environment, to many children with disabilities who do not always or never have this possibility.
This article serves to thank all the school groups, the children present, teachers, volunteers and all those who somehow contributed to make this event memorable for all participants.
As the Peniche area is an area of interest for surf tourism, presenting excellent conditions for surfing for all ages, from children to adults, we could not fail to hold this event and make our small contribution to the community. . We promise to come back next year, hoping to add more entities that can support us and make it possible for more children to participate.
