Why Talk About Sustainable Surfing?<\/h5>

The ocean faces serious challenges: plastic pollution, global warming, water acidification, and degradation of coastal ecosystems. These issues directly affect wave quality, marine life, and even the safety of surfers.<\/p>

According to the Surfrider Foundation, millions of tons of plastic enter the ocean every year, impacting beaches and marine habitats \u2014 precisely where we surf.<\/p>

If the ocean changes, surfing changes too.<\/p>

The Environmental Impact of Surfing (and How to Reduce It)<\/h5>

While surfing is a nature-connected sport, it can also generate environmental impacts. The good news is that there are more conscious alternatives.<\/p>

1. Choose more sustainable boards<\/strong><\/p>

Traditional surfboards use polyurethane foam and petroleum-based resins. Today, options include:<\/p>

Recycled foams<\/p>

Resinas ecol\u00f3gicas (bio-resinas)<\/p>

Eco-friendly resins (bio-resins)<\/p>

Eco-friendly wax<\/p>
